A few weeks before Christmas I was asked about an engagement shoot up in the snow.  I of course was so excited to hear more.  The client was hiring me as a Christmas Present for her daughter Sonia and soon-to-be son-in-law, Todd.  The shoot was to take place in Sunshine Valley, about 15 minutes outside of Hope, BC.

After talking with the client more she advised there was only a 2 day window to take the photos. We decided on January 2nd, and just before that we got a huge snowfall....HOW PERFECT.

I headed up about 45 minutes early to check out all the spots we would be shooting, we only had a half an hour....I wanted to make sure we got in lots of pictures quickly, not only because of the time crunch, but it was COLD.  I brought my ear warmers, hoodie, winter jacket, and fingerless gloves.....(for the shot i left the gloves in my truck and didn't want to stop to go get them)  WE were FREEZING.  Sonia's (the bride to be) eyes were watering (as were mine) from the COLD, COLD, COLD air.

They had blankets, Green Tea, and were fully prepared for this.  Sonia and Todd are so adorable.  I asked him to whisper in her ear....but she couldn't hear him, she had ear covers hidden under her beautiful blonde hair. I had not noticed until then.  It worked, cause it made them laugh and enjoy the moments we shared.

They will be getting married in March at a Ski resort in the USA.  How beautiful.  This couple had one of the most pure innocent loves I have had the honour of photographing.  I truly wish them a a lifetime of happiness.
